1976 The conflict created when the will of an individual opposes the will of the majority is the recurring theme of many novels, plays, and essays. Select the work of an essayist who is in opposition to his or her society; or, from a work of recognized literary merit, select a fictional character who is in opposition to his or her society. In a critical essay analyze the conflict and discuss the moral and ethical implications for both the individual and the society. Do not summarize the plot or action of the work you choose.
1983 From a novel or play of literary merit, select an important character who is avillain. Then, in a well-organized essay, analyze the nature of the character s villainy and show how it enhances meaning in the work. Do not summarize plot.
1986 Some works of literature use the element of time in a distinct way. The chronological sequence of events may be altered, or time may be suspended or accelerated. Choose a novel, an epic, or a play of recognized literary merit and show how the author s manipulation of time contributes to the effectiveness of the work as a whole. Do not merely summarize the plot.

Spring break work
Over spring break I hate to break it to you Dr. P I didn't do much of anything I read MacBeth but didn't take active reading notes. I was constantly touring campus after campus and wasn't in the mood for notes. As you know I have pretty much made up my mind and will be attending Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska in the fall. Over the break visiting all these campus's made me think of my future and eventually to my death. I read a boom written by a group of college students title "What do you want to do before you die?" by The Buried life (must read very easy yet inspiring) it is a list f bucket list items they had and completed they also have many stories that bring you from laughing to crying to heart warming stories. Reading this book got me thinking and I wrote a bucket list I plan on completing before I die. I interpreted their theme as to do what you want to do in life not letting people determine your life to do what you want to do because there might not always be a tomorrow. And to live a full life doing what you want because tomorrow might not be there the next day. You are doing what you love to do in life and I'm sure you will look back on life after death and have no regrets it gave me a reality check and is motivating me to not only do things in school but to also experience life to the fullest. I think college is going to e a great experience for me and am very excited to be spending it at Creighton University.

Macbeth notes
Written 1605-1606
Very twisted and cynical story
Macbeth is a murderer
Mrs macbeth was the daughter of biote
The 3 witches represent weird, fate, and destiny
Story was written for king James
1040 Macbeth killed Duncan in battle
Then was killed by Malcom Duncan son
One of Shakespeare's favorite sources was Holinshed's Chronicles of the History of England & Scotland
"double, double, toil and trouble" is a famous line from the play
The story takes place in the dark ages
Shakespeare changed history to simplify complexities And the changes Shakespeare made to the story was to brown nose king James
